1.Rolling Bridge, London
Built under a building in London, this bridge is a beautiful example of architecture. Because of the hydraulic in it, it gets fold like a circular wheel.
There is a canal in front of this building so every time boats come here. But it was not possible to fix a permanent bridge and this unique bridge was made as a solution to that problem.
2. Beyond The Leaning Bridge, London
A tilt bridge is a type of moveable bridge which rotates about fixed endpoints rather than lifting or bending, as with a drawbridge. Its name is mentioned in Guineas Book of World Record.
It was designed in 1996 and because of its unique design, it has got the award for Best Design. It took 2 years to built this bridge.
This bridge was built for pedestrians but whenever any ship comes, it gets rotated by 40o with the help of motor.
3.Transformer Bridge, Netherland
After seeing this bridge, you will feel like you are watching a robot of 2050 which connects two roads of Netherland. The roller at the back side of it, rise it above when the boat passes away.
It wasn’t possible to build a permanent bridge in such a less space. This bridge is a wonderful piece of architecture.
4. FalKirk Wheel
The Falkirk Wheel is a rotating boat lift in central Scotland, connecting the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal. The lift is named after Falkirk, the town in which it is located.
Boats must also pass through a pair of locks between the top of the wheel and the Union Canal.
Falkirk wheel is the only rotating boat lift of its kind in the world, and one of two working boat lifts in the United Kingdom, the other being the Anderton Boat Lift.
It is the best result of technology as the wheels used in this can transfer any boat from one canal to other in few minutes.
5.Pont Jacques Chaban-Delma Bridge
The Pont Jacques Chaban-Delmas is a vertical-lift bridge over the Garonne in Bordeaux, France. It was inaugurated on 16 March 2013 by President François Hollande and Alain Juppé, mayor of Bordeaux.
Its main span is 110 m (361 ft) long. As of 2013, it is the longest vertical-lift bridge in Europe.
Because of the big ships, it was a problem to make them pass through the river. So the architects made the first ever vertical flyover.
6.Three Segment Folding Bridge, Germany
This rare flyover was built after the hard work of many years and money spent. This bridge has three different parts which get fold and gets unfold in just 10 minutes.
It was built in 1997 with the cost if 10.5 billion $. It gets opened only for 1 hour everyday.
7.Scale Lane Flyover
Scale Lane Bridge spans the river between Hull’s Old Town and the as-yet undeveloped industrial land on the east bank, creating a pedestrian route between the city’s museums and aquarium.
“The black steel flyover has a distinctive robust character and curving form, making it a memorable landmark that is unique to Hull and its industrial and maritime heritage,” said the design team.
This flyover costs 9 million dollar. Combat and steel are used in making it. It can carry 1000 people at once.
8. Flying Ferry
This bridge is the hybrid of every flyover. Two cities of Spain are getting combined from this bridge
The government asked to make a bridge which will not affect the boats and people. This bridge can carry many dozens of people and cars together in a single time.
