If you’re a road-trip lover, then this information is very much useful for you. Very soon you will reach from Delhi to Mumbai in just 11 hours.
For this Delhi-Mumbai Greenfield expressway, National Highway Authority is collecting the money. According to the reports, this project will get ready till year 2023.
The foundation stone for the project was laid in March 2019 and the expressway is scheduled for inauguration on January 26, 2023.
Total length of Greenfield expressway would be 1400 kilometres. In this corridor, you can drive your car with the speed of 120km/h.
It will pass through the states of Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
The expressway will run parallel to the Delhi-Alwar route in ‘=[Haryana and will exit the state at Kolgaon. In Rajasthan, the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will pass through Bharatpur, Malakhera, Rajgarh, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Indragarh, Kota and Rawatbhata.
In Madhya Pradesh, the highway will cross Bhanpura, Garoth, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Jaora, Ratlam and Thandla and in Maharashtra, the expressway will pass through Thane and Palghar to end at Mumbai.
Initially, there would be eight lanes in this corridor and after that its provision will get expand to twelve lanes in the future.
The animals will get a passage at every 500-metre interval. It will also have a boundary wall of 8 metres with a sound barrier of 3-4 metres in the corridor.
There would be around 75 spots at the corner of the road where you will find every facility of restaurants, washroom, first aid and petrol pump.
Once completed, the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will ease the current traffic load on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway,
The total cost of this project is expected to be 1 lakh crore rupees.
